Last week was uneventful which is why there weren't any new blog posts. This week, however, has been crazy thus far.... which is why I haven't posted until now!! So, now that I'm back... I'll tell you all about my beautiful baby shower my Mama and Sherie threw for me and baby Savannah this past Sunday :)
Poor Mama called me the night before the shower, sick as a puppy dog, and hardly functioning. Poor thing. Sunday morning she was feeling just as awful, so I headed over to my Dad's house (where the shower was held) and worked with Sherie and my fantastic mother-in-law to prepare everything for the shower! My Mama, thankfully, was feeling better around noon, showered, and was able to be there for the entire thing!! Thats all I cared about :)
The turn out was fantastic - there were probably 35 people who showed up to celebrate Savannah with me! It was wonderful :) We had tons of great snacks (fruit, veggies, meats, cheeses... and a beautiful and YUMMY cake!!), pretty decorations, fun prizes and great conversation. I couldn't have asked for anything better.Savannah (and her Mama!) were blessed with SO many wonderful gifts!! We are so set, and are incredibly grateful for everyone's generosity! I was so nervous when laid off from my job at the end of October, but we have been blessed in so many unexpected ways and are completely set and ready for our baby girl to get here!!
