The four day weekend was so nice!! Friday it was just me and my baby girl :) Oh how I LOVE those days! We ran some errands in the county, stopped by Grammy's (where she ended up taking a long nap), then came home to hang out as a family. It was a relaxing day just playing, laughing, and having fun!
Saturday I didn't even bother to get out of my PJ's.... none the less shower! The only productive thing I did all day was laundry. All of the laundry (including diapers) was finished by the end of the day, so I guess that counts for something.
Sunday was my Mom's 49th birthday and we celebrated with some stuffed flounder, flat beans, three bean salad and angel food cake (Mama's personal favorite)! And yes, that is one of the most random concoctions of food ever.
Monday we spent Labor Day at my cousin Diane's house in Illinois. Rick, as usual, was the master of the grill, and there were tons of other goodies brought by everyone else! We spent the afternoon enjoying family and I even had the chance to get in the pool for a little bit!! (Apparently I'm as white as my daughter and some sunshine is very necessary at this point.) Savannah was great, as usual, and played all day long!
While we're on the subject of our darling little girl.... I'll tell you that she is onto her third food now! She absolutely loves bananas, green beans and now sweet potatoes, too!! She is a great eater and we have such a blast at meal time.
For the past month solid she has been completely over the colic. She is a completely new baby! She is so incredibly happy, smiley, and content!! It is absolutely amazing. It is wonderful to see her so happy and feeling so good.
The goober is growing out of all of her clothes - daily, it seems. She is now pushing out of her 6-9 month sleepers. She is in mostly all 9 month sleepers now. There are very, very few 3-6 month clothes that we can squeezer her into. Most of the ones that fit her at 6-9 month. There are also quite a few she wears that are 6-12 month. It's incredible. I can't stand it!
She is so strong. She rolls over like a steam roller... she just keeps going sometimes! She gets better at sitting up everyday. Some days she can sit on her own for a short period of time while other days she gets distracted too easily and falls over right away!! She can move herself wherever she wants to go, grab whatever she wants, pull herself toward things.... its so fun to watch. She is teething like crazy.... chomping on everything, drooling like crazy (I'm talking bib changes all.day.long.), and I can't wait until that first tooth finally pops through!!! She is changing before our eyes!! She climbs all over Addie - grabbing her ears, face, tail, nose, paws - and Addie just lets her. They adore each other. It's great!
We love every second of being parents. It is such a true blessing which we don't dare take for granted! It is such a special treat to get to wake up to such an amazing husband and daughter every day! I've got it so good. So freakin' good.

Oh, man! What a little bean stalk you have! :) Sam is just NOW growing out of 0-3 month clothes, and only a few of her 3-6 month clothes fit! Sometimes, I wish she would grow a little faster!
Sounds like little Miss Savannah is moving right along! When our lives settle down we should do a playdate! (Okay, maybe we should just schedule one!)
