Assembling Baby... stuff
Yesterday I found out that Grandma and Grandpa Olson bought our play yard from our registry and I got to pick it up from Babies 'R' Us! Today, I made the attempt to put it together in our living room. Easy-schmeezy. No problem. Piece of cake. Then I decided to move it to the bedroom (where we'll be using it as a bassinet until Savannah is ready for her crib). Well, it wouldn't make the turn from the hallway into the bedroom, no matter what way I manipulated it. I had to take it mostly apart then reassemble it in the bedroom. No problem. Then I realized how crazy-cramped everything is going to be in our house with all this baby stuff! I didn't like how it looked in our bedroom (which I'll deal with when the time comes, but we have seven weeks until it has to be in there). I decided it would go in the nursery until we needed it. Of course, I had to take it apart again to move it to the nursery and put it back together once in there! Geez-o-Pete! It was actually quite humorous, and I'm sure I could have figured out a way to move it to and from each room without taking it apart if it wasn't for the darned "pregnancy brain". You know - when you can't think straight, do common sense tasks, get confused easily and feel like a complete moron 100% of the time?? Yah, that pregnancy brain.
