Baby Blessings

Babies need "stuff", right? Clothes, diapers, food, stroller, toys.... and it gets expensive! I registered for an Exersaucer. Seems simple enough... no. An Exersaucer can easily cost $100! That got me thinking about Craigslist. I figured I could find some things used and for much less than buying/registering for something brand new. After browsing, I found a lady who was selling her Exersaucer for $20. Not bad! From the picture it looked nice, clean and it had all the parts. So, I called her and arranged a pick up. When I got there she also had a playmat (which can easily cost $60 and more!), a boppy ($30) and toys! The playmat was just as clean and nice. I decided to just take it all... for a mere $45. I walked out of there with a nice Exersaucer, play mat, boppy and boppy cover, nursing stool, Fisher Price toys, and more! I got home, cleaned them, disinfected... and they're almost good as new!

Then came the whopper. I haphazardly came across a listing from a lady who lives in St. Louis Hills (five minutes from where we live). She has two girls, one of which was born in April. She said she had TONS of clothes, blankets, etc. I emailed her asking to send a few pictures of a few items so I could have an idea of what she had. It was all so cute! She informed me that she had "boxes" full of stuff. She wanted $100 for it all, and to get rid of it all at once. Now, $100 is hard for me to part with lately, but something told me to go ahead and do it. So, I did. Dan and I went to their house to pick up the items. EIGHT BOXES! Big boxes! Stuffed with clothes (0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 12 months, 18 months!) and more. It took me hours to sort through it all when I got home. The majority of it was really good quality, in pretty good shape, and cute! I passed on what I thought I couldn't use to a friend who is having a baby in May... so hopefully she can find things she needs as well! Savannah's changing table is stocked with newborn onesies, sleepers, outfits, etc! Then I have drawers full of clothes for the summer as well. What wasn't going to be used for awhile is stored in the closet in boxes. What a blessing!! The picture doesn't do it justice.... but we have TONS of baby clothes now! I wish I could have taken pictures of our entire living room flooded with boxes! The Lord is good.
