Progress has been made after my post (rant) about being organized. Today Dan and I went through our entire clothes collection and pulled out all the things we won't ever wear again, don't fit (with the exception of my pre-pregnancy clothes), and things we love but are just too beat up to justify keeping. We threw all of these things into trash bags (all 5 of them?!) and took them to Goodwill. Also in our Goodwill load: books, shoes, old pots and pans from college, and so much more! We had to put the backseats down in the Explorer and ended up packing the entire car full!
Of course after purging all these clothes, we organized our drawers and closet. It feels so nice and clean and... organized!
After this we loaded the car with oodles of cardboard (from the elliptical box, crib box, changing table box, moving boxes... geez!) and took it to the recycling center in Carondelet Park. Finally our garage is cleared of all the cardboard junk we've been accumulating!
Believe it or not, this all took quite some time. And it felt good! Now we are both sitting on the couch, watching Man on Fire and working on projects (Dan a paper for class and I'm working on a brochure for Young Life St. Louis). Yay for a productive day!!
