We came home from the hospital on Monday afternoon with our precious baby girl :) She is so good so far. During the day she's a classic newborn - she eats every 2-3 hours (she's basically attached to me ALL day), sleeps and poops. Nighttime has been hard for Dan and I to adjust to. She has seemed to get exceptionally fussy throughout the night, but its probably also our perception. Things are always magnified when you're exhausted and have a crying baby! Last night was much better though. I was able to get almost four hours of sleep (which felt so good!). She still won't sleep in her bassinet or bouncer throughout the night. She'll be OK for about 15 minutes, then start to cry. Last night I slept with her on my chest and was able to get good rest in between the feedings and diaper changes! We'll keep trying to get her to sleep in her bassinet first. One day she'll get the hang of it :)
Yesterday we had our first appointment with her pediatrician (who was my pediatrician growing up). Savannah has gained back most of her weight (she was born at 8 lbs 4 ounces, left the hospital at 7 lbs 10 oz, and weighed in yesterday at 8lbs 1 ounce). She is healthy as can be (and cute as can be, I might add). We have another doctors appointment on May 4th.
The whole point of me starting this blog was in anticipation of Savannah. I want all our family and friends who live far away to be able to see pictures of her and catch up on their "Savannah News".
Before some pictures, I might add that our little nugget has hysterical facial expressions. She is continuously making a face (wonder who she gets that from??? Hmm... her mother??). I consider her a Lucille Ball in training.

I absolutely love it! I want you to know that I actually know someone who had to have her baby girl sleep on her chest for the first few months. She just wasn't ready to let her Momma go. After she was ready, she did just fine. :) Love the pictures as well!
