Soon to be Walking and Christmas fun

Before I give the Christmas overview - let me just tell you how overwhelmed I am by the fact that my daughter is sooooo stinkin' close to walking. As I type she is walking around the coffee table. Around. And around. And around. She pushes her little "car" around the house. Around. And around. And around. All she wants to do is hold our fingers as we walk her around the house. I fear in month or so - we're toast. This little dear-heart is going to be taking her first steps. What. The. Heck?! Even though she's been crawling for two months - I feel like she just started. This is crazy.

Savannah's first Christmas was so sweet :) Watching her rip open her gifts with so much enthusiasm and excitement was entirely entertaining!!! She would babble and scream while shredding the paper, then scream and bang on whatever box was within the wrappings until someone opened it to reveal the special toy! It was so adorable to see her interact with her new toys and everyone there.

For Christmas Savannah got a lot of fun things! She ended up with a lot of sweet books for her to read (or simply take off the bookshelf and throw across her room), a beautiful personalized piggy bank, a precious Gund blanket dog, a play table, a stroller styled walker (which she LOVES since she is dangerously close to making our lives NUTS by walking!!) and more!

Dan and I for Christmas bought each other new couches from Crate and Barrel. Each of our parents bought us a new rug from Crate and Barrel - one for our living room and one for our dining area. The updates are so wonderful and we are so grateful for those new changes!!!! :) Those were our big gifts this year!

Christmas Eve was spent at my Grammy's to celebrate with my Mom's mother's side of the family, Christmas at my Mom's with the family and today we are headed to my Mama's once again, but this time to celebrate with her Dad's side of the family. After that we are having one of my bestest, Sarah, and her husband, baby boy and step-son over for the evening! :)

The Christmas season is so fun as we get the time off from work to spend time with family and friends :) I can't wait for the next few days with just Dan, Savannah and I... then we'll be headed on a plane (for Savannah's first flight!) to Michigan to see her Aunt JoJo and Uncle Eddie for her first time!!! Stories to come :)
