Did you know?

10. Dan started his first grad school class this month. He decided furthering his education was the right choice if he wanted to progress in his career - so he is attending Webster University and working towards his Masters of Human Resource Management. After completing the masters, which should take two years, he will then have 12 credit hours left if he wants to complete his MBA. I'm so proud of him for going back to school and plan to help him out any way I can! I'd be ecstatic if he went all the way through to complete his MBA! Encourage him through this journey - its going to be a long ride!

9. Dan and I love the bookstore. He has never been a "reader", but has taken an interest lately and I am running with it while I can! I go through spurts where I fly through books and can't put them down. Then I won't pick up a book for months. Lately, we love to browse through Barnes and Noble and can spend hours sifting through different books. Dan is intrigued by the mafia, so his latest read was a book about one of the most famous contract killers of all time. I have flown through two chic reads and am now on the third book in the Twilight saga.

8. We have been on one vacation together. During the summer of 2007, our good friends, the Litteken's, took us to Puerto Vallarta with them! It was a blast getting to spend time with one of our favorite families! Paul, Sherie, their two kids Chase and Carter, Grandma Jeannie and her sister were all there! It is always fun going on a trip with other people.

7. We didn't go on a honeymoon. We had a fantastic trip to Oahu planned, then decided against it. We used the money to buy our first house instead! As much as we would have loved to spend a relaxing honeymoon in Hawaii, we knew it would be more responsible to spend the money on a house - and we are glad we did! I'm still dying to go to Hawaii at some point though!

6. We love our great dane, Addelaide. She is so much fun! We thought we were going to have a monster on our hands - her Dad weighed 180lbs and her Mom weighed 160lbs. Surprisingly, Addie only weights 120lbs! What a runt! ;) She loves toys and can entertain herself for hours with them! She also feels the need to show us her toys quite frequently. She will bring them to us in her mouth, give a playful growl, and wag her tail uncontrollably. She is so cute :)

5. We shop for most of our clothes at Banana Republic. It is one of the very few places we have found that carries Dan's size in pants - 33 x 34. We also love the outlet! They always have 40% off their already discounted prices! Now lets just hope I can lose all this pregnancy weight and get back in my nice clothes.

4. Dan has lived in three states in the past three years. He lived in Lansing, Michigan (where he grew up), moved to Jacksonville, NC to teach, then moved to St. Louis when we got married! He's had so many great experiences and has done so well with all the environment changes!

3. We like to watch TV. Well, Dan loves to watch TV. I like it. Mostly, we like watching shows such as CSI, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, and the like. Suspenseful crime shows are fun for us! I guess I have to admit that I can't get enough of the Hills, either. My IQ drops every week.

2. We found a church in the city that we really like. The Journey. The teaching is solid, the music is good, and we've built some friendships through our Community Group. We feel blessed to have found a church home and to have gotten plugged in with a great group!

1. Dan and I have both been involved with the ministry Young Life for years. Through YL we found our passion for the Lord and for sharing it with others. We actually met while volunteering at a YL camp during the summer of 2003! Currently, we serve on the Committee for St. Louis Urban YL. Young Life in the city is new to St. Louis and after a good first year laying ground work, we are excited for the growth this year. We hope to invest more of our time and energy in building relationships with the Area leaders and helping to meet the fundraising goals to get these kids to camp to hear the Gospel!
