After a fantastic night of sleep (thank you, Savannah!), I decided it was a beautiful morning and I should take Sav and Addie for a walk. While getting my shoes on, Addie (of course) knows whats about to happen and gets really excited. After frantically sniffing my shoes as I'm tying the laces, she jerks her head back up and nails me in the eye. Hello, black eye. No big deal, it hurt, but I'm alive. Lets go for our walk.
Not even 30 seconds into the park, I see a lady with three rather large dogs. Three said dogs get very "excited" and take off. Lady loses control. Dogs go after my very large dog and stroller! I had to let Addie go, get the stroller back on all four wheels, put the brakes on, and go after my dog. After tearing one of the dogs off of her, I get my trembling dog and hers, take her dog back to her, and my dog back with me to the stroller. Thankfully, an older man helped the lady get her three back under control. The lady was extremely apologetic and about in tears after the event. As much as I wanted to scream "why on earth would you bring three STRONG and UNRULY dogs to the park?!" I simply said, "It's alright. Everything turned out OK. It's alright". I then take my shaky dog, my shaky self and newly awakened Savannah for the rest of our walk.
I'm now pretty worn out after my great night of sleep.... but I'm convinced God took care of us and everything is OK. But oh my goodness.... it was scary. And I still have a black eye ;) haha
