After almost three days of cleaning and organizing... I am finally finished! However, it is somewhat discouraging because what I started cleaning on Thursday is now ready to be cleaned again (that's how it works when you live in 1,000 square feet with two adults, a baby and a 120 lb dog). I clean multiple times a week. Dust, vacuum, mop, etc. But with Savannah I haven't had time to really get down and really scrub. My wonderful Mama helped me this week by watching Savannah Thursday and Friday so I could clean all day!! It also gave me some "practice" being apart from her before going back to work (how did I do? Well, I hated it. The first day I had mixed feelings: I kind of liked being by myself for a little while, being able to get a lot done around the house, but also would have moments where my heart would sink because I missed her so much. Friday? I shed a few tears when dropping her off, then balled like a baby to my husband on the phone the first ten minutes on the way home. Great start, Courtney. Great start).
SO... my house is clean. Top to bottom, CLEAN! Blinds are vacuumed and scrubbed down to the baseboards. Furniture has been moved, cleaned behind, under, around, on top of, inside of... and put back in its place. The kitchen floor has been vacuumed. Mopped. Then scrubbed by yours truly while on her hands and knees. I have the chemical burns on my hands to prove it (gloves next time? Yah, I remembered that half way through. Moron). Anyway, my house is stinkin' shiny and clean. I love it. I almost slipped and fell on my butt in our bedroom because the hardwood is so clean. I should win an award.
