The first six weeks...

A friend (and mother of two) just described the first six weeks of having a newborn at home by saying it is "Painful, wonderful, boring, lovely, sad, tiring, exciting and lonely". I find all of those words to be completely accurate. Its amazing how many emotions I have experienced in the past two and a half weeks. I love, love, LOVE having my daughter. I love that I'm finally a mommy. But its hard. Very hard. Its something that can't be described by another - its something that one has to experience on their own to truly understand. I'm beginning to understand - and am loving it :)
