Swinging Success

For what seemed like forever, I was completely unable to get anything accomplished around the house. Savannah was never content to be on her own - she wanted to be held.... upright... while you were standing (heaven forbid you sit). Her bouncer? Fuss. Her swing? Fuss. My Mama asked how long I let her fuss and try to calm herself. I kind of chuckled and said "a minute??". I couldn't stand when she fussed! I felt so bad for her so I went to get her. My Mama told me to try to put her in her bouncer and swing every day, a couple times a day, and let her fuss for a bit. She's bound to get used to it and actually like it.

WELL. Maybe its the fact that she is almost six weeks old (what?!) and getting more content in her "old age" or she really is just getting used to these things. The past three days she has actually lulled herself to sleep in both her swing and her bouncer! This, I tell you, has been the most wonderful gift!! I have had time to get tons done around the house! So much that today, I'm bored. Savannah is currently sleeping in her swing and as I look around I see that the dishes are taken care of. Cleaning? Done. Laundry? Completely finished! Maybe I'll relax for a few minutes and read.... ahhh :)
