My friend Katie just had her first child around 3am this morning! Her due date was last Wednesday, May 6th, but the little critter just wanted to wait around so she and I could share birthdays :) I am so happy for Greg and Katie and their new addition to the family! Hopefully I'll get the chance to stop by the hospital sometime tomorrow to go meet her. WELCOME to the world, Samantha Marie!
Yesterday, for Mother's Day, we went to my Mama's house. Much to my surprise, my Aunt Sandy showed up!! :) I miss her a lot since she moved to Chicago, then to Boston, and loved getting to see her and spend time with her! My Mom made some wonderful food (including a blueberry cobbler and pina colada cake for dessert!! YUMM!). It was a special mother's day spent with my family and beautiful daughter.
Tonight Dan is going to take me to the Boathouse at Forest Park for my birthday and I'm really excited. (Any little outing is really exciting right now!) My Mama is going to come over to the house to watch Savannah while we are at dinner. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and mother... and of course a perfect little daughter!!!
